Zásilkovna: when you want to pick up on your terms

Zásilkovna is popular with customers mainly due to its pick-up points and Z-BOXes. According to official carrier data, it has over 10,000 pick-up points and more than 6,600 Z-BOXes in the Czech Republic, and over 3,700 pick-up points and more than 2,800 Z-BOXes in Slovakia. This is practical when you don't want to wait at home for a courier and prefer to pick up your package on the way.

Zásilkovna also offers delivery to addresses in the Czech Republic. It states that it delivers packages to addresses using its own capacity, covers the entire Czech Republic, and expects most packages to be delivered the next day. For pick-up points, the standard storage period is 7 days with the option to extend, while for Z-BOXes, packages need to be picked up faster.

PPL: a good choice for addresses and Parcelboxes

PPL is suitable when you want classic delivery to an address, but also want the option to use a PPL Parcelshop or Parcelbox. The carrier states it has over 10,600 pick-up and drop-off points in the Czech Republic, including thousands of Parcelboxes and Parcelshops, and an extensive partner network in Europe.

For domestic transport, PPL states that it delivers shipments on the next working day and offers delivery directly to an address or to PPL pick-up points. The mojePPL app is also practical, where recipients can find all shipment information in one place.

DPD: when you want control over your delivery

DPD primarily focuses on shipment tracking, notifications, and the ability to adjust delivery in the myDPD environment. For DPD Classic and DPD Private services, the carrier states standard delivery within 24 hours of pick-up, up to three delivery attempts, and tracking via a 14-digit shipment number.

With the DPD Private service, customers receive a more precise delivery time window on the day of delivery. If the delivery time is inconvenient, the shipment can be redirected to a Pickup point, a backup address can be added, or delivery can be postponed via myDPD.
